A Writer With Rules is a Mockingbird in a Cage.

Welcome To Mockingbird Prints!

Welcome to Mockingbird Prints, other whys known as MP. MP is dedicated to writers who deserve attention for their work. Although the site is mostly centered around Quizilla.com writers, anyone from anywhere is welcome!

If you wish to submit a story, visit the Submit A Story page and fill in the form there. If you have any questions about what you can submit and what's allowed/not allowed then please visit the FAQ page before emailing me your questions.  And if you want to know more about the origin of MP, how we work or some of the terminology used on the site, then hop on over to the About MP page.

Updates

~June 2, 2008~
Ok, so we're still hiring Sparrows. And we're still very much looking for people to help us out. But I'd also like to ask something else. Think of it as my early birthday present, kay? Everyone, I'd be every so happy if you told everyone you can about Mockingbird Prints. Post links anywhere you can! Post links on your Myspace, GaiaOnline, Quizilla, blogs, journals, anywhere! We need to get the word out about MP but we can't do that without your help. The MP staff is doing our part. Now we ask you to do yours! Submit stories! Post links! Chat about us! Please! T_T

An important update this time around. MP is looking for more staff. Sparrows to be exact. We need people will be able to come read a story on command. Literally. And this round of Sparrow recruiting, it won't be as easy to be accepted. You'll have to pass a test and you'll be reviewed by me (Nikuya) and ZoaTheLonelyGirl. For more information about becoming a Sparrow, please click here. We need your help to keep afloat. Remember that! ^_^

Finally, the results from our first full discussions period is here! It took us a while (mainly because of me T_T) but we finally picked the winner. Give a big congrats to yazdaeth and his story "The Other Side Of Innocence." His story has been posted on the MP Award Winners page where you can find a link to the story. There has also been a story added to the "Gold" category on the MP List page, "Greek God." Don't forget to check the MP List page as well. Thank you to everyone who waited patiently and I hope you send us new stories to judge!

Oh my gosh! What happened to "look forward to our results in about a week"?! Yes, I know there haven't been anything changing on MP for a while. That's mostly my fault. I've been bogged down. But trust me, I haven't forgotten MP yet! And I won't! All I ask is that everyone gives us a little more time. Because of my absence, it's taken a bit longer to discuss things than it should have. But good news is that I've given Zoa some control over MP now. So expect to see more of her around the site! ^_^ Nikuya, over and out! ('''\(^o^)/''')

The very first story chosen for an MP Award has been posted. BUT this is not the result of our current judging. It was a story graded by only two judges seeing as the other two were yet to be found and we had to get things moving. We are all still reading through submissions for our first full out judging mentioned it the previous update. But in any case, if you're interested, go visit the MP Award Winners page.

Our first judging period has begun! Meaning all four of us Falcons (Nikuya, ZoaTheLonelyGirl, AngelOfTheVioletMoon, and SmartSohmaLover) have started reading through submissions. You can look forward to our results in about a week, give or take a few days.

Also, I should mention that you can still submit stories. They will be added to our next judging period, that's all. So don't be shy and keep those submissions coming! I'm so excited and I could eat some alphabet soup! XD

Happy Belated Valentine's Day! Although it's not my favorite holiday, it sure proved...blush worthy this year. Plus, MP is getting ever closer to breaking out of it's Beta version box! Good news, isn't it?  I've been adding changes slowly but surely and the submissions are trickling in. It would be nice if I got some input on what everyone thinks of the site though. Like is it easy to use? Can you navigate the site without problems? Does something need a bit more explaining? Tell me what you think. You can email me at mockingbirdprints@gmail.com or hop over to the forum and tell me so what you think in the "I Like/I Don't Like" thread. Don't worry, you don't have to be a member to post. ^_^

AH HA!! A huge thanks goes to my host site, Freewebs. Thanks to them, everyone has a immensely easier way to submit a story. All you have to do is fill out a form and hit a submit button. Awesome, I know. Anyway, you can find this form on the "Submit A Story" page. This will be the primary way to submit a story from now on. This way it makes it easier on you and easier on the judges as well.

Also up is the "Helpful Sites" page. It's already chalked full of sites that can help with writer's block, getting a creativity boost and even generate a map! So check it out for sure.

Isn't it great? The site is growing. Now the only thing it needs is for everyone to spread the word! No, seriously. Spread the word people. Or submit stories. Or something...

~ February 10, 2008 ~

Ok, well I haven't gotten any messages from our fourth main judge so apparently she's uninterested. So I'm going to say that there is still one main judges spot left open.

Anyway, I'd also like to say that I'll be getting up a page dedicated to helping everyone submit stories. It'll have a form you can copy and paste and it'll answer many of those questions I've been getting repeatedly. Although, most of them were answered in the FAQ. Speaking of...

Please read the FAQ page before emailing your questions. I don't have the time nor patience to answer the same questions repeatedly.

And remember people, if you want to help MP out, it's very easy! Just tell others about the site and submit stories. It's as easy as that!
